Who Are We?
Ethical & Socially Responsible Adventures in the Heart of the Himalayas
At Charity X, we are more than just a tour operator — we are a purpose-driven organization committed to ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible travel in Nepal. For over 20 years, we have crafted tailor-made treks that guide travelers through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth, while always respecting, preserving, and promoting the environment and the rich cultural heritage of Nepal's diverse communities.
"Through our years of experience, one core truth has consistently guided us: giving back to local communities and protecting Nepal's tangible and intangible heritage is a shared value between us and our travelers."
Our Mission
To craft life-changing adventures.
At Charity Expedition Nepal (Charity X), our mission is to craft life-changing adventures that honor Nepal's rich cultural heritage, safeguard its fragile ecosystems, and ensure that the benefits of travel directly reach local communities. Every journey we design is grounded in respect, impact, and authenticity.
Our Vision
A Nepal richer in spirit.
We envision a Nepal where every visitor departs richer in spirit — having not only witnessed the grandeur of the Himalayas but also contributed to the well-being of the people who call these mountains home. We dream of mountain villages that thrive through tourism that is practiced responsibly, ethically, and sustainably.
Our Values
Five words that guide every trek.

Treading lightly and honoring local traditions.

Fair pay, transparent pricing, honest communication.
Community
Central to us — we reinvest 10% of profits into local, grassroots projects.
Resilience
Committed through challenges, from rebuilding to trail restoration.
Joy
Fuels every step, found in shared meals, songs, and meaningful connections.
People & Partnerships
Journeys built together.
We partner with LeadX Nepal and Katrina Webb for the New Day Leadership Journey, blending adventure with reflection. Our long-term exchange with Brenderup Højskole connects Danish students with rural Nepal. We also lead corporate and celebrity treks that support meaningful causes.
The People Behind the Packs
50+ guides. Every corner of Nepal.
Our team is made up of over 50 experienced guides and porters from all across Nepal, representing diverse ethnic groups such as Sherpa, Tamang, Gurung, Thakali, and Rai. Their deep knowledge of the land and culture makes each journey truly immersive. Our senior lead guides are certified Wilderness First Responders, and many also serve as trained Leave No Trace educators — ensuring our treks are both safe and sustainable.
