Over 50 experienced guides and porters from across Nepal — Sherpa, Tamang, Gurung, Thakali, and Rai. Their deep knowledge of the land and culture makes each journey truly immersive. Our senior lead guides are certified Wilderness First Responders, and many also serve as trained Leave No Trace educators.
Rather than spotlighting individuals, we celebrate the collective expertise that makes every Charity X journey safe, meaningful, and deeply rooted in Nepal. Our guides are hired and trained locally, paid fair wages, and empowered to shape the experience on the trail.
Many are second- or third-generation mountain professionals whose families have lived in the regions we trek through. That heritage shows up in the stories they tell, the tea houses they recommend, and the way they look after guests, porters, and the land alike.
